Dell Inspiron 5160 Help Needed

When I turn it on,the power light,the light with the A,and the one with a down arrow turn on,the fan spins for about ten seconds,but nothing shows on the screen.Then is shuts back off.I tried hooking it up to an external monitor,but this doesn't help either.Any help is greatly appreciated.Thank You very much!

The 5160 can run without the battery in when hooked up to external power. That's the first thing I would try if you haven't already done so. Completely remove the battery, hook up to external power and see if it works.

Thank You for the reply.Right after I posted,I got the idea to try reseating the RAM a few times.After that,it booted right up.Thank You for all the help!
