Hi, I have two questions here.

First, I have two screens connected to my laptop. Is there a way, under windows XP to have both of them show the same thing instead of one being an extension of the other's desktop? I ask because I have presentations to do every now and then and having the projector being the extension of my laptop is a pain. True, windows XP automatically shows Powerpoints on the second monitor, but I do more than just show powerpoints.

Second, is there a way to have a widescreen use a normal resolution without stretching (kinda like how TVs show widescreen pictures by adding black bars above and below the image, except here, they'd be on the side). I ask because my laptop has a widescreen, but some of the older games I like to play don't have the option to use widescreen resolution, so they appear stretched, which is really ugly.
In case you need to know, my laptop is a Dell XPS M1710.

Thanks a lot.

Welcome to PC Mech!

As far as the presentation side of things is concerned, you should just be able to set it all up in your desktop properties. You have nVidia graphics, so you should have the nVidia Control Panel available to you. Nice laptop by the way, I like it.
