What is the difference between Graphics cards and video cards?

the only difference for us CG students is
a Graphics card displays your work
and video card was more for input of video, suchs as the pinnicle cards which will let you import video into the program such as adobe premier with out having to render the video to edit a real time saver.
all in all video and graphic cards are the same thing unless your a CG (computer Graphics) student

No, you don't. If you have video output already, you are set.
