I am currently using a samsung yepp T6 (http://www.ukdvdr.co.uk/shop/Samsung-YEPP-YP-T6-MP3-Player-512Mb-pr-18565.html).http://www.computerbargains.co.uk/shop/customer/product.php?productid=135000046

The earphone jack has a problem, like its being corrosive and when I change tracks, I heard a "dubb" sound sometimes. I want to get a replacement. Features which I am looking for are the same as this one if not better:

AA/AAA battery-its hard to find built in replacements
Line-in Encoding (can record from any source and auto split files if no sound is heard-encoding cassettes)
Small-I use my mp3 player for jogging, so a strap or anything that can mount it on me is useful.
Lots of supported formats. MPC, monkey audio support a plus.
Good equalizer- like the yepp.

Thank you

I recently visited the local electronics superstore here in Poland for the same type of question. What I found was something like a hundred MP players to choose from, and the choices were not easy.

I finally decided to experiment a bit more with my Palm Pilot's music before purchasing anything dedicated to play MP3's.
