Hi everyone, first time computer builder here. After spending over a grand on new computer parts and spending almost 3 hours assembling them, I go to turn it on and nothing happens!

However, there IS a small light that goes on the mobo.

Here are my system specs:
Samsung 19" LCD moniter
AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego 2.4GHz 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 Processor
Silent 939 CPU Cooler (heatsink/fan)
DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-D Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard
COOLER MASTER RS-500-ASAA ATX Form Factor 12V V2.2 Power Supply
2 x 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200)
WD 40gb Hard Drive (primary, needs to be partitioned)
Seagate 100gb secondary HD (needs to be partitioned)
nVIDIA GeForce 7800 Series Video Card (256 mb)

Any ideas on what could've went wrong?

Hi Nicole and welcome to PCMech.
The first thing to do when having problems with a new build is an "out of case - minimum hardware build" instructions for this can be found here:

Have you double checked that all the PS cables are connected to the MB properly, as well as the wires for the switches on the case? I have an AMD Asus build I did not too long ago that I had to reset the BIOS with a jumper on the MB.

When you say nothing, any fans spinning or beep codes?
