Need Help buying a used laptop.

I am looking for a used laptop for my son on ebay. What brand should I be looking at ? And it sure would be helpfull to know about what I should pay.

It must have DVD and a Wi FI slot.

PS i have sold on ebay sence 1987 so I know the pitfalls.

What does the notebook need to be able to do besides DVD and Wi Fi?

You can find an old beat up clunker for 100 bucks or spend up to 200 grand that will do the two taks mentioned.

New ones aren't that much more than used - can you afford $600?

glc is not a corperate Del used better than what I can see for 600.00 Most have wifi that I see on ebay. I have not bid on one so I do not know cost. I guess I should look at sellers history for app. cost.

Laptops, by nature of their portability, get beat up. Those corporate jobs are not treated well by the users, they don't care, it belongs to the company.

You can get a new laptop for $400-500 easy. Why mess with used?
