to anyone who can help me i have this IBM ThinkPad T22
specs: P3 900MHz
256 megs of memory
30 gb hd
wins 98 second edition
the problem is when i try to boot up all i get is a white screen nothing else
anyone know what the problem could be? i dont know anyting about lap tops

What happens if you connect a standard monitor to the VGA jack?

i tried a pc monitor and got nothing but a black screen any idea what it could be?

With the monitor connected, did you try cycling through the Fn key combinations to change the display from internal to external to both?

ive tried everything thats why i am here ive been to the IBM trouble shooter site ect,anyway
thanks for the help so far im sure someone here will have an answer they always do thats why you guys are great here.....

If you have no display on either, the most likely problem is a bad motherboard.

If you are capable of doing the work yourself, used motherboards are running in the $60-80 range on Ebay.
