What I would like to know is if there is a way to restore this machine to the factory specs without the restore discs,or a Windows XP cd?Any help is greatly appreciated.Thank You very much!

The only possible way without restore disks is if it has a recovery partition. Does your documentation address this?

I will have to look into that.Another question for you.How does the Windows XP system restore work?I had some music,and pictures accidentally deleted,and chose a restore point before they were deleted,but they didn't show up after the restore.Are there any free programs out there that will recover them?Any help is greatly appreciated.Thank You very much!

System restore does not restore data files. You will need some kind of data recovery or undeleting software to get them back, but if the space they occupied on the disk has been overwritten you are out of luck.
