I own a legal version of Office 2003 Professional edition. I have installed it on the four computers that are in my house. Well, one of them crashed and I had to replace the HD and reinstall everything. Well Windows went on no problem but, when I tried to reinstall office it got to the activation wizard, which I had never seen before on past installations, but I said activate over the internet. It then said that I ahd reached the limit on my product key and I could not activate it, now I haven't called technical support yet, or the number to try and activate it. Is this a permanent problem? Or if I call them will they give me an activation code if I explain my situation? Any help would be greatly appreciatted.

How many licences do you have for Office. A legal copy of Office only allows you to install it on one PC, unless you have a multiple licence.
Hope That Helps

It's one license, for the professional edition, you get multiple installations, it says that on the back of the box. However, it does not list how many.

You've got the Home and Home Office version and it allows 4 installs : http://ms.helifan.net/smallbusiness/products/office/professional/default.aspx#1-4%20copies
Unfortunately it thinks you've just tried for 5 which means that you have to contact Microsoft.
Use the link to get to the Office Professional 2003 page and then click on tech support.
edit : You may only get the latest number to call but check it out anyway.
