Can't Remove nHancer from Startup Tab. Can I just delete it in Reg Edit?

I was trying to get more tweakability than what the Nvidia control panel on my Dell Laptop (specs below) offers so I tried installing nHancer(32 bit) (http://www.nhancer.com/?dat=downloads). The requirements are Net Framework 2.0, which I already have.

I created a restore point before installing. But I can't get the program to install correctly. I keep getting the message "Windows encountered a serious error..".

Anyway, I tried to uninstall it through Add/Remove, then I went back to my restore point to make sure all components were removed but nHancer is still listed in Startup tab for the Sytem Configuration utility.:(

I did a search for nHancer in Reg Edit and it's listed here (http://img260.imageshack.us/my.php?image=nhancerregeditxx2.jpg)

I should never have installed it and I just want to get rid of it now.:mad: Is it safe for me to just delete the key in Reg Edit? And if I do that will it be removed from the Sys Config list too?

I'm pretty sure that a registry deletion is permanent. I've also encountered similar problems with a few programs & if they persist I use spywareblaster or spybot to permanently DESTROY IT!!!

Use HijackThis and see if it's listed in any of the O4 entries - you can delete them that way. Deleting it where you found it won't remove it from the startup.
