What were you doing 9-11??

Befor i start i just want to say that NO..... I did not creat this idea for a thread, it was taken from the [H]ard|Forum. I like this topic though and it raises disscussion sooooo, go for it. What were you doing that day, and how did you find out?????

Getting ready for work, reading this post by Alfie (http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17546), wondering what the heck he was talking about, then I turned on the news just in time to see the first tower go down.

Just to give you all a little go ahead .........

This was my day!
Hehehe, alright, whell, my sept, 11, was actually a continuation of the 10th,
I went with my friend chris right after school on the 10th to ihs cottage for a pilots party and we took the plane and went skiing behind it and went tubing, and got smashed out of our minds till god knows how late..:COOL: We partyed hardy untill like 6am on the 11th. By that time, we had to leave for the 1 hour boat ride then the 3 hour car drive back home from his cottage to school. Lol, we got to his house by about 9 am, and he changed and neerly passed out in the bath room gelling his hair, while i waited to get to school, (still half smashed!!) Were driving to school when we get a call from his pilot friend jamie..... Chris and i are listening to jen talking on the phone, and all we can here is, "ohh my god"
"this cant be real" "thats not possible" Next thing ya know were being thrust to the side of the raod in the car and we pull of to the ramp. "what the hell is wrong with you " we ask! Emediatly both chrises and my mind wonder to this old pilot guy fromthe night befor who we thought had a heart attack and died from the amount of booze he had, lol, then i heard some thing quiet on the radio of Attck.. something... so,emediatly i turn up the raido. and whats on but "the US is under attack! The WTC had been hit by a plane," and from then on we listened to the events unfold.

It took a while to hit me being still hammered from the night befor, but once it did, i was hung over and not happy at all, lets just say, that i pushed it out of my head for a good long time.

By the time i got to school, at 9:30, all i could think was,. "do they know???? does the school have any idea??" So, the seconed i got in to the school i went straight to the office, and asked them if any one had a radio on, and answerd "NO!"
so i told them to find one and turn it to news which they did emidiatly. and the office was soon in a huge frenzy, then i went to class and informed my drama teacher who turnd on our booth radio system and allowed our class to listen to the events unfold all class after a huge disscussion. The rest of the day every one was in a frenzy, and the drama room was packed of people all day listening to the radio.

And that was my day!


Ohh yeah, just to let ya know, chris went home at 12 and passed out, and i went home after school, watched the news till 11 and passed out later!

I found out, actually, because of all days, I chose to program the channels on my TV at 10 AM CST on 9-11 (I hadn't set up my TV until 9-11, as I never really watch TV).

As it programs channels with the auto-program, you see each channel for a split second, and I noticed many, many channels were airing CNN. So as soon as it finished, I turned to CNN and saw the news.
