Hi I am trying to find a s/w that doesn't have a 60 sec trial, freeware / shareware program that I can d/load my religious lectures online.
Know of anything available? Also, how i break up the lecture from approx 1 1/2hours to smaller 'tracks' so I can listen to 15 mins +/- each time on my MP3 player.
Please note that these lectures I listen to are available online and are readily downloadable and that I am not trying to do something that is illegal.
Regards..

Are you downloading these lectures to your computer, and then listening to them on an iPod or something? What format are the lectures in when you receive them?
Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) is a free sound editing application that's really nice. You could just cut the file into segments and save each segment as its own file.

Yes I d/load them then lsten to them on my MP3 player. So I need a s/w that wil record stream from the internet / paltalk etc... Then after I have done this then I need to be able to cut it up into 10min sections, as my MP3 player cannot fast fwd / rewind etc. So I get to work after half hr listening to lecture then an hour is left... I have to start from the beginning all over again..
thks

I'm sorry, I didn't pay attention to your title very carefully... You want to record an audio stream as a file... Once you get it recorded, you can use Audacity, but I'm not familiar with the best way to record the stream for free. You can use Replay Music (http://www.applian.com/replay-music/index.php), but it costs $40. It does have a free trial, so maybe you could use that for a while to see if you like it.
