Cod2 Some maps good fps Some rubbish on others HELP

I have a old computer its a 4300 Dell, but it go's well! 512 RAM 1.8 Prosscer A rubbish GFX card but it pulls good FPS on cod2, most maps i get around 120 FPS on low res but high textures but some maps are LOCKED at 7 FPS this includes matama, st mere englis, lenningrad, and stalingrad, now at cant just be the snow and sand maps becuase St Mere Englis is included and some other sand maps work perfectly i assume its my scracted cod2 disk and it dosnt install some drivers or files properly I dont know but all maps worked fine till we have to reinstall the hole Windows XP system and complete system harddrive Wipe some help would be nice :D

So if I understand you correctly, you are running into troubles on some maps in CoD2, and this has happened ever since a reformat?

Some of those maps run slowly anyways, since they are quite large and have a lot of effects running all at once (like the distant smoke you see in most of the Russian levels), so keep that in mind too.

Woah, I think I understood that, but that was confusing. Try some punctuation next time please =] Anyways, CoD2 is very intensive GFX wise. If you could find the model of your graphics card that would GREATLY help us.

do u run it in dx9 or dx7? cod2 is a very flawed game and most people have to run it in dx7.

Try running the game in DX7 & Have a play about with your settings in game!

Also check to see if V-Sync is switched on or off on your graphics card, I'd reccomend it being off
