unprotecting itunes songs?

can somebody tell me how to unprotect songs downloaded from the itunes music store. i tried just burning it to a dvd but when i put it back on it was still protected. thanks in advance

By rule, we will not provide work-arounds to built-in security functions such as Apple's Fairplay protection. However, Apple does have a built-in backup system that will allow you to burn to a media while protected.
