Firefox closed popup

every time i close Mozilla Firefox i get a pop up for random sights. does anyone know how to fix this? i scanned the comp w/ macafee and use a registry cleaning thing and it still pops up

Have you tried a malware scanner, like Spybot Search & Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html) or AdAware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php)? If not, try one of those.

Are you using Firefox's pop-up blocker, If so, try installing Ad block plus, it is a excellent Firefox extension.
