you should really consider core 2 duo but anyways,

go for a seagate HD, with a 5 year warranty

forget the Sli motherboard, sli is really a waste of your money. if your card dosent play games at settings you like, then you are much better off just buying a new top of the line card then buying another of the outdated cards you already have

that is not a good psu. heres a list of good vs bad brands (http://forum.pcmech.com/showpost.php?p=914720&postcount=1)

go with a retail lite on optical drive

dont get an extra sound card at the get go. try out your onboard sound on your motherboard and if that for some reason is not adequate, then get a sound card

I'd say if you drop the SLI motherboard for standard one and drop the sound card you would be able to afford an nVidia 8800 GTS. It might come out to $10 or $20 more, but you will have what is probably the best price : performance ratio card out there, plus it is DirectX 10 capable.

As for the power supply, go with jer888 suggestion. Also, apparently Antec has been having some trouble with their NeoHE PSU line. Their TruePower Trio and other high end lines are good. This is not the component you want to go cheaply on. A bad PSU will leave you with all kinds of wierd errors and it will be difficult to diagnose.
