I picking up a 19"widescreen LCD thingie later and was wondering how games play on them. Ive been a CRT guy for ever and feel like switching over now that the MS times have gone down. My main concern is the widescreen aspect. The screen is the Samsung 941BW.

I've been playing on a 42" Plasma HDTV recently in WS. It looks great. I have a 19" LCD also, but it's not WS. I'm sure it will be fine. Just make sure the monitor itself is set to WS mode and you shouldn't even have to mess with any video card settings. You'll never go back to a CRT.
P.S. Your armory link doesn't work =/ Still playing the lock?

Some of your older games ( and full screen DVDs if you have them ) will end up with black bars on the sides otherwise they're great.

Here's a great resource for you Propain...
http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/Master_Games_List_-_A
The Widescreen Gaming Forums compiled this list of games...if they support 1440x900 (native 19" widescreen res) natively then it tells you, if they don't, then it supplies the fix. :)

For a while they were just a forum, but it seems they've managed to drag a Wiki out of all the great info on there. One of my better finds :)

nice site btw.
Now I think I know why I get called a waller on CSS now, (other than the fact that I'm amazing:) and extremely humble) according to that site(via SS) widescreen lets you see more of the map, i though it just distorts the image a little bit. Like if you have a WS TV and watch the news. But it looks like i actually have a wider viewing area.
