Rome-Total War Problem

I've been playing Rome Total War and at the same point in the game, when I end my turn, the game quits. Has anyone ever heard of this problem or can anyone help me with it?

I don't know my system specs, but I am running the game on an emachines T3990.

I just read this now. Hope it isn't too late...

I have had this problem several times. There are a couple of things it could be..

Have you edited any of the files that change factions? I tried to make the unplayable factions playable and caused it to crash

Do you have any mods? Sometimes that's it

Lastly, your computer may be too slow for large battles. Best to keep it on the safe side. Best of luck

Make sure you have all the official patches installed. The game is probably going to CTD anyway, but it will be much better with the patches. And as Mortey, said, it could be due to you messing around with the various files inside the game folder. Have you downloaded any mod or have you done any modification to the game?

P.S.: Get Europa Barbarorum mod, it makes the make worthwile. Possibly the best mod in existence for this game, it's been under development for about 2, 3 years: http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=70
