I'm just wondering if this might be possible:
Create a bootable cd with AMIDiag on it that will run on any system capable
of booting from a cd-rom.
Maybe if I copy the program to cd-r and write a batch file that will create a ramdisk, and then install the program to the ramdisk so the diagnostics can be
run without having to install the program to the c: drive. After running the diagnostic tests you can remove the cd and reboot the system without having had to actually install it.I know the autoexec.bat would need editing to run the batch file needed to create the ram disk.
I guess I want to know if Im on the right track here or maybe someone has a similiar idea that does what I want. The main objectives here are:
1.Have a diag program that runs from a bootable disk(cd or floppies)
2.Doesnt cost anything to make.(I already own the diag)
3.Can run at startup and do its job regardless of what OS is installed.
I know there are diag programs out there that do this but they cost hundreds
of $$$.If anyone here know a way to do this I will surely be glad.TIA
