I am going to have 2 hard drives for my computer, one for the os and programs and the other for storage. I am not sure if I want the second one to be internal or external.
Can someone tell me the pros and cons of each???

If you're going to install programs to the second hard drive you want it to install it as an internal hard drive, not external. External hard drives are mostly for data backups you want to save off the computer.

If the second drive is for daily use then you'll want an internal. It's less hassle and a heck of a lot faster that way. If the second drive is to share information with others and to be portable then you want external. External drives are handy for sharing but slower due to the interface.

The second hdd will be for storage, sorry I did not mention that. This is the one I am trying to figure out if I want internal or extenral. I also need to come up with a plan to backup this drive, as I currently do not do so.
Can I network an external drive to access files from another computer???

I believe you can share it on the network which would make it accessible to anyone with permissions on the network.
