Trying to "fix" an unrelated problem in WIN2K, I installed the WIN2K cd and choose upgrade.

WELL.... it now says that:

"Setup cannot locate the Windows installation you want to upgrade. Contact your system administrator"

I cannot get back to windows 2k as it keeps trying to install upgrade.

I would appreciate any help to get out of this situation.

Thank you all for offering help on this issue.

I finally resolved it by creating an Emergency Repair Disk using the procedure described here:
How to Create a Bootable Disk for an NTFS or FAT Partition(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/119467/en-us)
wich consist of copying from the Windows 2000 installation CD the NTDLR and the NTdetect.com files and creating a BOOT.ini file from the example in the article.
As soon as I restarted the computer with this floppy inserted, it asked if I wanted to boot to WIN2K Pro (yes!) and it did.
