I recently purchased the wrt300n N router, it claims to be backwards compatible with the b and g adapters. I am using the same b/g wireless adapter as i was using with my old router. I also never had any trouble before I installed the N router. After I installed my new N router, the computer using the b/g wireless adapter started to freeze up my cpu. Does this happen to any1 else. I don't really want to purchase a N adapter because of the bad rating on the products. If it'll fix my problem then I will get one. Any suggestion?

My system specs
Core 2 E6600 (2.4GHZ)
2Gb of ram
Nividia 7500LE
300GB hard drive

pre-ratification gear can be really funky and cause some unexpected glitches.

The only suggestions I can make are:
1) make sure that your firmware is 100% up to date.
2) the NICs you are using are from the same folks who made the router
3) check the drivers for the NIC's and see if a driver change will make a difference.

Well, my adapter is a linkysis as well as my router. I also updated my firmware, but the problem still presist. I tried talking to linksys, but it didn't really help. I am planning to purchase a -N adapter and hoping it will cure my problem. Any other suggestion before I buy the adapter?
