I'm gonna need a PATA card to drive a couple of EIDE hard drives in my new build.

Any recommendations?

I would go with the Promise controller you picked out.

I'll second that card :) -- you can even try going to the local mom-and-pop shop and see if they have one laying around. Maxtor used to include the Promise card with their drives when they came out with the ATA 133.
