currently im running two sATA HDD's, 320 GB, one WD and one Seagate, and one 250GB pATA Maxtor drive. I plan to get a small raptor just for operating systems and programs, then use the 320's and 250 for storage. Is there any way i can make a RAID 0 array (i think this is the right term-the one with no redundancy) out of the two 320s if they are different drive types? My mobo has RAID sATA slots on it (4 of them).

EDIT: also, I had a question about having a way to have "shared" storage between my laptop and my desktop once i get the laptop. Basically, I want to have a way to back up things off the laptop AND the desktop. for this purpose now i just use different HDDs within the desktop, but im thinking of a few other options. which of these would work/be good?
1.) add more hard drives to the desktop (i still have room!), use a network cable to connect laptop and desktop, and use shared folders on the hard drive to share data and do backup
2.) a NAS device, with a router or something to network the two together
3.) ???

I believe for a RAID 0 setup... identical drives are preferred... but not necessary.
