Okay, I got the cpu/fan and memory installed in the motherboard. Now I get to the part of installing the motherboard in the case and it says to put in the standoffs. I assume they are already in the case if it's what I think it is. I have the Antec P180b and the Asus P5B. If not, what do they look like and where would I find them.
Also, the screws that I'm using have what looks like a washer attached to them. In certain areas there is no room for the washer. Am I using the right screws?
Thanks.

The stand-offs will be hex shaped studs mounted in the open area of the case where the mobo will go. Before mounting the motherboard, check in the motherboard manual for which holes are to be used for mounting screws. Set the mobo into the case and make sure that there are stand-offs ONLY where the mounting holes on the motherboard are. If the screws work in the standoffs, use them. Don't really need the washers.

It's like the washers are connected to the screw. Do you tighten them all the way down.

If there's no room for the wide washer-like screw heads in certain areas then those probably aren't mounting holes. Check the motherboard manual to make sure. The screws should tighten all the way down flat against foil on the top of the motherboard: if they don't tighten down that far, you've got the wrong screws or the wrong standoffs.

well, those are the mounting holes according to the manual so I guess that's right. There was one spot they definitely would fit and one other where it was tight. Hope I didn't do any damage to the board putting them on.

Well, those were the mounting holes but definitely the wrong screws. I guess the little baggie that said "MB USE ONLY" should have been my clue that those were the motherboard screws. Well, I changed them all out so they are right now. I have everything together now just need to hook up the led/usb things.
