Fatality

Well...I'll get straight to the point. I need a half-decent virus scanner that DOES NOT have me "secured" all the time. What I mean is that a few programs I have tried such as Kaspersky, AVG, and Avast have let me down. AVG has so many resource-hogging programs running on my computer at all times unless I end them. Avast has about 4 on startup. I have never got a virus on this computer EVER. Only programs I use are Ad-Aware, Reg. Mechanic, Spybot S&D, and CCleaner. Like I said, I don't need my computer to be all secured up because it's very unlikely I will get a virus. Even if I were to get a virus I'd go on Trend Micros free scan. All I'm asking for a basic virus program that is updated regularly with definitions that only runs when I tell it to run. Any recommendations?

Set one up to only run manually & update before using or use on line scanners.

There is no anti virus on my computer right now. I recently got rid of Avast. I'm just going to use TrendMicro if i ever get attacked.
