After all these years of using AVG, I've suddenly gotten the same results after running my weekly scan. It doesn't show an "infection", but keeps saying there has been a "change". This is what I'm getting:

user32.dll Change c:\win\system32\user32.dll

ntoskrnl.exe Change c:\win\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

I never got this before but now everytime I run AVG I do.

AVG reports windows system file as Changed

Sometimes after Windows updates are performed, AVG will
report a Windows system file as CHANGED.

Here is how to reset the changed file such that
AVG does not report it as changed in future scans.

1.) Start the AVG Test Center

2.) Tests -> Scan System Areas

3.) Allow it to scan and it will prompt you with a WARNING dialog on the
changed shell32.dll file. Click.. Confirm changes

Problem solved!
