wireless netowrk adapters

i was looking through a linksys catalog and saw they had an adapter to connect harddrives to a network wirelessly. I started to wonder about adding external hard drives to my network and i was wondering if it would be possible to use a print server to add a hard drive to a network wirelessly. The print server model was a linksys wps54g, or on a similar subject, would it be possible to do the same thing just using a wireless network adapter such as linksys WUSB54G.

I just wondered if it was possible, or if anyone had tried it. thanks for the information

NAS devices can stream alot of data onto the network pretty quickly and because of that wireless, while an option, is rarely the best choice. I would hard wire those to the LAN and that is not a big hardship as they are fairly small and can be tucked near the router or switch.

So basically you could do it with the print server, but its better to hard wire it.

So what would be the best way to add my extra hard drives to the network, withgout connecting them to a computer. I searched and found this, linksys nslu2, which is a ntwork storage link, or is there an adapter that i can use that would directly plug them into a router. The only problem i have with the network storage link is that there is only two usb inputs, i was hoping ot get more, but if its not possible, then ill find something else.

Get any number of off the shelf NAS (network attached storage) devices, or build your own out of a computer.

You can put the HDD itself in a network-aware enclosure such as one of these: http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/SubCategory.asp?SubCategory=124


Don't think a wireless option is available.
