I am having internet troubles on my other computer. I can successfully ping websites, but when I open any web browser it always says that the web page is unavailable, no matter where I try to go. Also, in Xfire, I can get info on game servers, but I can't actually logon to Xfire.
I also cannot connect to my router through a browser anymore, but when I ping my router's IP it goes through.
When I try to load a page in IE7 and run through the troubleshooting wizard after the page won't load, it says that I have issues with Winsock. After I select the option to reset everything back to its default setting, I get the following in the log:
--------------------
Last diagnostic run time: 05/30/07 15:42:03 WinSock Diagnostic

error Could not make an HTTP connection.
error Could not make an HTTPS connection.
error Could not make an FTP connection.
---------------------------
I then proceed to restart my computer, but I when start it back up I run into the same exact problem, and the error log is exactly the same except for the time.
I did not change any settings recently, and I think this problem might be because of some sort of malware.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
