Situation: A customer of mine has a daughter who ran off to see her boyfriend in North Carolina, who she met on myspace, last week. This of course, is without her parent's knowledge. My client would like to password protect all internet access (all outgoing ports, period... IM, web, etc).
Problem: I can not find a *free* solution that will do this *anywhere*. I have searched yahoo, google, download.com, and various other places - its all shareware with trials! Surely there is a free program that does this! I know ZA locks net traffic, but it is not password protected.
Do you guys have any recommendations?
Thanks!

I don't have Zone Alarm free installed on any handy computers, so this is from Zone Alarm Pro:
Setting global program properties
You can customize program control by specifying whether access is always allowed, always denied, or if you want to be asked, each time a program in either the Internet or Trusted Zone requests access.
To set global program properties:
Select Program Control|Main.
Click Advanced, then select the Alerts & Functionality tab.
Specify global program options.
Show alert when Internet access is denied Displays a Blocked Program alert when ZoneAlarm security software denies access to a program. To have access denied silently, clear this option.
Deny access if permission is set to "ask" and the TrueVector service is running but ZoneAlarm security software is not In rare cases, an independent process such as a Trojan horse could shut down the ZoneAlarm security software user interface, but leave the TrueVector service running.
This setting prevents the application from hanging if this occurs.
Require password to allow a program temporary Internet access Prompts you to enter a password to grant access permission. Requires that you be logged in to respond Yes to a Program alert.
To allow access without a password, clear this option.
Click OK.
Sorry, the formatting didn't come out. If you want, I can take a screenshot of it and post it.

No freeware, sorry. Even the paid software to do this sort if thing is stupidly easy to get around. I only know of one solution that works, and it's fairly pricey.
