Seems some ISP's work with Linux and others don't. The ones that don't give you a " The ppd daemon died unexpectedly. Exit status 16" or "Timeout expired while waiting for the PPP interface to come up" . Anyone know why. It's just a matter of entering an access phone number and your username/password into the KPPP program. Thanks.

A lot of dialup ISP's require the use of their proprietary dialer - that may be what's doing that to you. Examples are AOL and Netzero. If the ISP is compatible with the standard Windows dialup networking, it should work with KPPP.
