what does the 4 or another number bit part mean under someones user.

And this is the break down we use to relate posts to your bit number:

bit post
1 bit 1
2 bit 2
3 bit 4
4 bit 8
5 bit 16
6 bit 32
7 bit 64
8 bit 128
9 bit 256
10 bit 512
11 bit 1024
12 bit 2048
13 bit 4096
14 bit 8192
15 bit 16384
16 bit 32768

Also, once you reach 11 bit (1024 posts) you can change that title to whatever you want.

When you enter any forum, there is a New Thread button in the top left corner (see attached image).

See the post reply button below? Go to section the thread belongs to and scroll to bottom, new thread button is there in same place.

Note that threads/ replies in general discussion are not counted in your totals since they are not PC related
