Heard where Reuters News Service will no longer use the word "terrorist". Said one man's terrorist is another man's "freedom fighter". The politically correct crowd is at it again. Me thinks they stink.

Also, heard where the Taliban has asked Jesse Jackson to meet with them and try and get us to be more tolerant. Geez, tolerant like them...

How can we go to war with terrorism if there are no terrorists? Are we now fighting freedom (fought by the freedom fighters?). That has lost me! Of course, nothing PC makes much sense to me!

Actually i thought that Jesse's response:

"We must weigh what this invitation means. We're not going to be precipitous," Jackson said. "If we can do something to encourage them to dismantle those terrorist bases, to choose to hand over the suspects and release the Christians rather than engage in a long bloody war, we'll encourage them to do so."
-from Foxnews' website

was quite well reasoned and did nothing to undermine the US's position on this matter...

Just what kind of Freedom are these guys fighting for? I assume that it is the freedom to murder men, women & children. They also want the freedom to destroy everything that is against their version of their religion. Look at the hellhole that Afghanistan has become since the Taliban took over. See how much freedom the women have. The women can't work except in hospitals. They also can't beg. The Taliban has killed several million of their husbands. So here you have women that can't work nor can they beg for food for their children. You have a country that even tries to control the thoughts of its people. And this is a country that Bin Laden has called the perfect Islam state.

Well I got news for them they are not freedom fighters. They are murderers and robbers of freedom. Actually calling them a terrorist, is giving them a much classier title.

That's the plan ;). There are those in the media worldwide who think America is evil as well, although they don't crash planes into buildings full of people. When America finally does take action against Afghanistan it'll be called "senseless violence" and "misguided" by these people.

The US helped the Taliban (freedom fighters?) against the USSR.

The US is about to help the Afghani rebels (freedom fighters?) against the Taliban.

???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Should any western/democraticly principled country support anyone in any way that does not believe in the underlying principles of human rights????

Forgive the sinners for they know not what they do.

just a thought.

Actually the Northern Alliance was the bulk of the people we helped during the Soviets invasion. [they did invade from the north and the northern tribes were severly weakened]. The bulk of the Talban came back after the Soviet invasion was over and pushed the weakened and less populated tribes off the way.

We just didn't stick around to guide anyway out of thier daily lifestyle of chaos
