TV Tuner Connection Question

I'm putting a TV Tuner in my new computer and my question is regarding the hook up for cable. Here's the card, I'm hoping this one works well with Vista Home Premium, it says XP MCE, however, Hauppauge's website says it's Vista certified and I was told the MCE program in Vista Premium is basically XP MCE plugged into Vista.

My main question is, in my office, I have one coax cable oulet near my desk. It's the only outlet in the room. Right now I have cable internet going through that outlet into the cable modem from Time Warner Cable. What are my options to get the signal to the TV Tuner then? Run a cable from another room? Is there any type of spillter I can use to get one line to the modem and one to the TV Tuner from the single outlet? (is that legal?) Any help on how this can or can't work would be greatly appreciated!

If the cable in you office is TV / Internet, then you can use a regular TV splitter like so:

I just grabbed that for the picture; you can run down to Radio Shack or Home Depot to pick one up.

Thanks for the info, I guess my follow up to that answer then would be, if I'm splitting that cable signal, is it a fair assumption that I'm decreasing the performance of both the internet connection and the TV? Or at least I'm imagining this would cause slower Internet browsing and downloading? Thanks again!

Not that I've seen. I split a connection exactly the same way, using the splitter TR linked to with both a cable TV and a cable modem. The picture still came through clearly and the Internet connection was still zippy. :)
