Please help me my friends. I reformatted my machine a few months back and everything has been great!!! I went to albumbase a few days ago to get a cd(i go all the time and never had an issue) and right after that, my machine has been acting real dumb. SLow, popups galore....thanks for any help:
I mean last night i left my machine for a few hours, came back and had over 20 open windows
most of em are from cpvfeed.com?
I've used spybot and it doesnt seem to do anything. Im sure its spyware , can anyone help me get back to normal?
Thanks

spyware and popups are two different things. Just curious, but why did you mention "dls0523pmw.exe" ? Are you getting an error? If so, exactly what is it?

yes i know they are different, i guess i have both of them. Whenever my cpu starts up it says theres been an error with dls0523pmw.exe
When this happenes i click dont send error report and everything seems to work. Then differnet windows just open up.
like i said, ive tried spybot, garbage clean, but they dont seem to stop all these popups
I also see a CFG32 error message thats sits in the middle of my desktop. WHen i click ok, it doesnt move. Basically my computer is infected with a bunch of mess.
If i show a log of hijack this, will anyone be able to help me?

A good place to start is to give more details on the errors you are getting. I Googled dls0523pmw and it could be a "million" things....

This may just be the easier option. My pc is infected with spyware, malware, popups, and a bunch of other sh!t.
All I ever see are dls0523pmw.exe errors, cpvfeed errors, CFG32 errors....endless popups.........the last week has been a nightmare on my pc.
So when I install, what programs should I download FIRST to prevent this from happening again. I just got a hold of Nod 2 for antivirus. What other protection do I need? Thanks for any advice

I have merged your two threads as they were essentially the same thing.

:)
If your just going to reformat, that will pretty much take care of everything.
What antivirus are you using? What other security programs do you have?

If you can safely backup your personal files making sure they are not infected with anything, then I think a format and reinstall is the way to go.
Try downloading AVG antivirus (free version) and AVG antispyware (free version) to another machine and putting them on a flashdrive, you can then install them straight after the format and reinstall and update them immediately you get online.

Downloading the suggested freeware apps (AVG antivirus, AVG antispyware, AdAware SE, Spywareblaster, Spybot Search and Destroy, CCeaner, Windows updates) may clean your entire system and you won't have to reformat/lose everything. Like I said, they are all free, so you really have nothing to lose.
