I'm not sure if the CPU i'm purchasing comes with a heat pad... I don't know how to overclock, so i won't be doing that. The CPU is an Intel Dual-Core E2160 1.8GHz LGA 775. The MOBO is an ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA LGA 775 VIA PT880 Ultra ATX Intel Motherboard.

Would heat paste (not sure exactly what it's called) be recommended? Or would what comes with the processor and motherboard work?

Oh, and are cooling fans normally included with a motherboard? The ones that sit over the CPU?

Thanks!

Use whatever comes with the cpu and heatsink. The standard pad or grease will be plenty especially if you are not overclocking. And if you use something else you will void your warranty.

Thanks for the quick response. I re-read the spec sheet for the cpu and it said it included a fan and heatsink.
