Built this computer myself, it is M2N-E Motherboard, AMD X2 3800 CPU, 320Gig Hard drive, 7900 evga geforce, 2X1gig Crosair ram PC2-5300. Power supply is 600W named brand.
Some history of my computer:
First problem was the power supply that came with the case, this was a long time ago, It was smelling like it was burning so I asked the place where I bought my parts and said I had to buy a new one, because the graphics card was using too much power burning it out since it was a no name brand.
Now the problem I'm having now make little to no sense to me since it has been working fine for several months;
One morning I wake up around 9, I see my computer clock is like 7 hours behind, then as soon as I open a program it freezes and starts slowing down or freezing again every few seconds, the sound from the speakers also get stuck like when your lagging during a game or something. When I shut it down and start it back up it refuses to start up, screen doesn't even load, just simply runs for about 3 second and shuts itself down. So eventually I find for some reason if I unplug something inside then plug it back in after attempting to start up it will start up. So when I'm using it, it freezes/slows down like every few second.
I decide to take it in. They look at it for no charge and said it was the ram because it was running at a lower voltage then it was needed. After I get the new ram install it, it still does the slow down thing. I took it back and they did stress tests, again for free, on it and said all the hardware was fine, it was my hard drive (Made sense because I used about 80% of it) and said too many programs were installed with windows probably making it run slow/freeze like it was.
So I reinstalled windows completely, meaning nothing installed along with it, it has worked for the last 4 days and today it is doing the same thing over. I dunno what it is causing this.
