I have PC-133 SDRAM 256MB, I have two of theses DIMM's How do I Set theses up on my mobo to register the full capacity of this memory with the jumpers have tried all configs put if I don't have the configgs right in reference than its set wrong. When I only use One DIMM installed and boot up my computer the memory reads only 133MB not the 256MB that I should have.

What do I need to do.
YOur help is greatly appreciated.

RAM can't be inserted the wrong way - you would break it - the possibility that your mobo reads MAX 128Mb would be more the case..

anyway you can look Here (http://www.thedebug.com/memory.htm) left side is PIN ONE so on your mobo the same will be true

Dimms have an offset "notch" so they can't be installed backwards. A friend used to have that same FIC board and he ran PC100 memory on it. I'm not sure if PC133 will work on that board and I'm also not sure if it will accept a 256 mb Dimm. In other words, make sure the board will actually support the type of memory you're trying to install. Check the manual. If you don't have it, you can d/l it from the FIC site.

The manual excepts 256MB It has a whole lot of settings for the dimms pc100 or non pc100 which in my understanding would be the pc133?? right so wich jumpers do I need to move around to get the recognized 256MB instead of the 131MB??

Non PC100 might be referring to PC66. What I'm saying is I'm not sure PC133 will work on that board as it was not designed with the 133mhz front side bus in mind. If I recall, the frequency settings only go up to 112 or so. PC133 will work on a lot of boards designed for PC100, but not all.

The jumper you're referring to is probably for PC66 or PC100.

It's also possible that you have a single sided/double sided dimm issue. The Crucial configurator shows 256 meg PC-133 dimms, both CL=2 and CL=3 so the correct memory should work no problem. Also, the board will not accept "registered" dimms, but will work with ECC.
