Best web development program for linux?

i'm used to using xp and dreamweaver however have recently stepped up to linux and prefer the faster operating system and would like to start using it as my primary working area, however need some recommendations or honest reviews for the best web creation tools available, anyone have any clues? i've done some of my own research but it never hurts to find out more :)

NVU runs on linux, but if you have gotten used to dreamweaver, there are a number of subtle differences in the way simple and complex tasks are carried out.

You aren't going to find a WYSIWYG like DW for Linux. I use vi most of the time on Linux but it ain't pretty for a novice.
