got vista, kapersky scanning xp files

just upgraded to vista, clean install, and im doing a scan with kapersky it is scanning all my old files when i had xp, and i have deleted windows.old. Ive tried to locate these files but cant find them is there a program where i can effectivley delete them? thanks

If Windows does the same thing like it does with any other OS upgrade then a simple visit to the Disk Cleanup tool will locate the files for you. Once you run Disk Cleanup look for through the list and you should see an unticked box for removing all of 'old' file.

However, I think you've already deleted them as you say you deleted Windows.old which is the old XP installation.
