View Full Version : PDF to DOC software?
I'm looking for software that will convert .PDF files to .DOC files. I'm hoping there is some free shareware out there that will do the trick. If not, at least something that is reasonably priced. Any one run into anything like that?

adobe acrobat (not simply the reader) will do it. unfortunately, the resulting document will hardly ever be 100% clean. that is, words may be joined at times, spacing and certain characters may turn out a bit different than expected. sorry i dont know about any freeware.

Google is your friend. Try pdf to doc converter for a search string.

It's free, easy, and on our home page this week: http://www.pcmech.com/article/how-to-convert-documents-to-pdfs-for-free/
:p
The problem is whether or not the original was a doc to begin with. If it was, it might be able to work.

whoops, guess I read to fast. I thought you wanted to go the opposite way (that's what most people ask about).
The quick and dirty way to go from a PDF to a Word document would be to click on the button in your PDF reader that has the letter "A" in it, then highlight everything in the PDF and copy & paste to the Word document. Granted, not everything will come through quite the same, but you'll get the plain text out of it at the very least.
