Hard Drive problem?

Working on a Compaq Presario 6000. I zeroed the HDD but when I attempt to install XP, I get an error that says "the main cpl. file was not copied correct". Also says " The file setup placed on your HDD is not a valid Windows XP system image and there might be a problem with my Windows CD. I have tried 3 different XP CD's but I get the same message every time. I also tried a different HDD but I still receive the same message. Any Suggestions?

Try a different cd drive or clean the one you have;)

I thought of that and I just swapped the drive out and put in the XP disc.
