I'm using Windows XP SP-2 and I've run into a problem. When I first inserted my FLASH DRIVE into the USB port of my computer, It shows, the safely remove hardware icon came up in the taskbar tray menu, but the drive was not displaying in windows explorer. So I went into Device manager and come under universal serial bus controller where I find my device,in USB mass storage properties I find driver, update details and made all effort but could not start it to window explorer.
I tried the same usb with webcam its working properly. My flash drive is UMAX Apus210 and purchased just 2days back. Its working on all other computer. Its not open under auto run when I insert in usb port.I tried another pen drive too but it also not showup.
Can any one please suggest what to do?

My first suggestion would be to, go your your motherboards home page and find the most up-to-date usb drives you can find and install them. It sounds to me that myabe you have some out of date usb drives.

There are 2 possibilities since it seems it's not a hardware problem.
This is a solution from the MSKB : http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314634
that has worked.
This one also worked for the "not showing up in Explorer" problem ( read the whole thread it gives you two more possible solutions ) : http://www.computing.net/windowsxp/wwwboard/forum/126083.html

To sum up :
The most recent usb drivers for you motherboard didn't work.
The two other suggestions have given you a partial fix, you can now see the usb drives in Disk Management but not in Windows Explorer or in My Computer?
I would, now, format one of the usb drives just for that computer using Disk Management.
If you can see them in Disk Management, all you have to do is assign them a drive letter.

In disk management a drive letter H appear and when I change the name its changes but not appear in explorer.I use to open my flash drive through disk management only.

Try changing the drive letter from H: to something else and see if it appears OK on another letter.
If it appears OK on another letter then try to assign it to H: again and see if it is visible.

You mean I have to Format my flash drive or Format that partition which contains root directory/main partition

what ever I change drive letter in disk management it changes there and I can explore there only but it does not appear in My computer/Window explorer. I tried it and back again to change to H drive but its not appeared in my Computer.

It's the flash drive you have to get seen.
Formatting it on that computer and accepting whatever letter designation it choses to give you should make it appear in My Computer.
Once that happens I would not use Disk Management again for routine work with the flash drive.

When I start format it through Disk Management with FAT at default and even with FAT32 . It does give massage: "The operation did not complete because the partition or the volume is not enebled. To eneble the partition or volume, Restart the computer."
Then how can I enable and format it.

You just have to make one partition for the whole drive but from your description the drive already has one.
There is a new worm out that copies itself on to flash drives and it's starting to sound like it's on that computer.
Run a malware scan.
If that's not it then you're looking at a major registry repair and you'll have to decide if it's worth the time and effort just for that usb pen drive.

I am having Adware-se, Noadware, spybot and avg internet security and all are updated. I use to check my system time to time but at moment there were only few not critical which I removed from my system.
If you suggest registry repair , I will do so other wise format main partition is the only solution.I do avoide to format Coz`I am having lot of utility software installed and updated regularly. If I do so it might happen to lost my few software which original copy is not available to me.That is why Formating root partition will cost pay for me. Please suggest if registry edit is a solution.I am sure there is problem in my PC rather than Flash drive.
