Hey guys,

I"m not planning on doing this, but i'm curious, cause if it sounds safe enough, i might try it...

My specs:
Asus kt133A mobo
Athalon Tbird 1ghz (133*7.5)
256 PC133 SDRAM
30.6 GB ATA/100 hd
VisionTek Geforce2 MX 400 64mb
Soundblaster Live! 5.1 xGamer
Antec Lansing SX-830 Casing
1 slot fan under (for) Videocard, two 80mm rear exhaust fans, two 80mm front intake fans

Anybody know what the "safest" possible O/C for the chip is? i want a boost, but i don't want to have to worry about triping everything and crashing everything

Also, how would i check to see if the system is stable? I heard i could run Quake3 and play it heavy for a while and see what happened, but is there any other way?

its safe as long as you dont get too greedy. Just get a cak38, or somehting to the equivalant of that. DOnt go to water cooling, or peltiers, unless you like overkill. I dont really see the need in o/c'ing a 1ghz athlon, btu whatever. Just unlock the L1 bridges, and raise the multiplier...and if needed some voltage. Dont raise fsb, unless you want to put more stress on your whole system.
