I bought this Mitsumi Floppy/Card Reader (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16821104104)combo last March for my 4 month old build (specs below) and the reader no longer detects my SanDisk SD card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820180627). :(

I've heard about SD cards failing pretty quicky but the card works fine in my laptop, although it seems like transfering big files takes forever.

But when I put the SD card in the slot in my PC. the red read light goes on but it's not recognized in My Computer. The floppy portion still works fine though.

I haven't bothered to contact Mitsumi for an RMA yet. I'm wondering if I should even bother. It costed less than $20 so I was wondering if I shoiuld just buy a different brand Floppy/Reader.

Are there many problems with Mitsumi? What other makes would you recommend?

Thanks in advance

I've used a couple in builds and they have been going strong for a couple of years. That doesn't necessarily mean much on there newer models, though.
