Must preface this by saying I know basically nothing about building computers. So I read a few articles and tried to pick out components.

Just looking for a simple answer as to whether or not I'm on the right path.

I am wanting a basic home/office desktop that will serve me for as many years as possible. Not a gamer, or a big media junkie. I would like to keep track of pictures, some video.

Here is what I am looking at right now.

mobo- ASUS M2A-VM AM2 Socket AMD 690G Micro ATX
Processor- AMD Athalon 64 X2 2.6GHZ 5200+
Mem- A-DATA 2GB (2X1GB) 240 PIN DDR 800
Power- Roswill ATX 400W
HD- Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB SATA 3.0 GB/s
Drive- Lite-on 20x DVDR/ 12x DVD-RAM E-IDE/ATAPI
Case- nMediaPC HTPC 300BA ATX Slim Tower
Mon- Viewsonic Optiquest 19" LCD
Wireless Ad.- Trendnet 32bit PCI 2.2 bust wireless adapter
PS/2 Keyboard
OS- Windows XP Pro sp2b

Would this work?

Thanks.

The parts appear to be compatible but you really don't want to use a Rosewill power supply. Pick out something better. See this thread for more info. (http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=131195)
