Replaced HD in Sony Vaio Notebook PCG-V505AX (orginal HD Hitachi 40GB @ 4200 RPM). It was partioned C:\ @ approximately 14 GB and D:\ @ approximately 26 GB. Backed up original HD before R&R with TrueImage v10.0.
Installed new HD (Seagate 120 GB @ 5400 RPM) Restored from TrueImage v.10 and now I have a new 120 GB HD that says I only have 40 GB. In other words it's identical to what I removed so I have no access to the increased capacity.
Obviously I have done something wrong but I am unable to figure it out; any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Click on Start->Run and type diskmgmt.msc

You probably find the rest of the drive space as UNallowcated. You can right click to create an additional partition....

Or you can start over and do a manual image. This would allow you to increase the size of the C drive.

Would you mind explaining further the "manaul image"? I'm not sure I understand although that sounds like what I need to do. Thanks!

As I recall, there is an "expert mode" to make an image with. It allows you to manually adjust the partitions size...

There are three (3) options to choose from 1) Active, 2)Primary & 3) Logical.
The one I have chosen is 2) Primary. Any thoughts on which one other than Primary?

Start over and use True Image in the clone mode, not the image mode - boot with the TI CD. You will need a USB adapter, install the new drive and connect the old drive to the USB adapter. Run the clone in "expert" mode and adjust partition sizes as part of the clone process. Here is an inexpensive USB adapter:
