monitor adj brightness

I have a Gateway monitor ev700 that I don't know how to turn up the brightness. I push the round knob and OSD comes up but I know nothing about it,how to navigate and set it right. HELP in a big way. johnn ps ,it's an oldie,door drops down in front,i 1/2 in knob there,push on it and get OSD. Know the one I have anyone ?

I don't quite remember how the gateways are but either push the dial and spin it until you get to the right menu option or there may be two other dials that adjust the brightness and contrast. I have several of those at work and I can double check in the morning.
