i wanna rig my browser so that when a certain page open, a certain change (any rigging will do) triggers a mechanism so to open a custom made page.
for example im going to newyorktimes.com but a script(or something else) triggers a custom made page on my computer to pop up instead of it.
eithar that. or else, if you can make a few characters on the page change. that will do also.

You might want to explain better what you are trying to do, particularly the reason behind doing this.

its quite a long story. but the point is simple. i just want few characters from a browsed page to be changed when i browse the page. doesnt matter how its done(althrough simpler, the better).

i assure you this does not have any malecious intent towards other people or their computers. its simply for a personal use.

It doesn't matter you can't do it. You could possibly do something if you either went through a proxy server or you could redirect a page using your hosts file but replacing words or characters on a page that you don't control wouldn't work.
