I'm having problems playing games on my computer. I have a NVIDIA Geforce FX 5600 Ultra vid card. When I start the game everything is fine for 1-2 minutes, then the game freezes up for about 45 seconds, and when it resumes the graphics are all scrambled or fragmented. When I reboot the computer the same thing happens. I've installed the most current drivers from NVIDIA's website. I've tried a couple of different games and the same thing happens (the games are Guild Wars and Star Wars Empire at War.) I haven't played any games on my computer in about 9 months, and everything was fine then. What else can I do?? Thanks.

First see if you can get ahold of a different video card to test out, trying using it and see if the problems happen again. If they do happen then the problem isn't your video card, If they don't, then either your video card drivers have problems or the video card itself is malfunctioning.
So try to borrow a video card somewhere and figure out first of all if the problem is for sure even with the video card. Once you've narrowed that down post back and we can go from there.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try to get another vid card, and do what you said. Thanks.
